Strumina Trail 2024

We started Strumina Trail in 2014 highly motivated after several editions of Krali Marko Trails. Now the race is part of the TREX races wich includes Krali Martko Trail, Vodno-Matka Trail, Ohrid Ultra Trail and Punk's Backyard Ultra. The event is organized with help from MTB Shtip and lots of volunteers. 

For the first edition we had slighty shorter route of 16km and 700m+D with 62 participants. 

From the second edition and now on we introduce new route, complete circle, with 18km and 750m+D. Untill 2022 the route was clockwise and from 2023 the route is anticlockwise. 

The route passes few of the most significant outdoor points of the Shtip area like spring Kurt Bunar, hill Klisebair, village Lipov Dol and spring Strumina Cheshma. 

The tenth edition of Strumina Trail was held on 24.11.2024. We had the record number of participants, 225 finishers and only one DNF. The start and finish were from the medicine high school Jane Sandnski which is our home for the past ten years. Strumina Trail is the latest event on the calendar of trail races in Macedonia and that is why attracts more people every year. This is low key event famous for its camaraderie and its suitable for people trying trail run for the first time or expirienced trail runners looking for speedy course.  We also have low starting fee covering the basic expences for event. We are trying to motivate and include people from different ages, especially youngsters.
